Dr. Timothy C. Brewer, Senior Pastor

Pastor Tim was appointed to First Methodist, Del Rio in June of 2010. Tim graduated from Southwestern University, Georgetown, and then earned his Master of Divinity from Emory University in Athanta, GA. Tim has pastored 7 churches in the Southwest Texas Annual Conference in his 33 years of ministry.

Tim and Pam have two sons, Matthew and Jonathan.

Tim's pastimes include playing golf and tennis, and collecting antiques (one of which is his '79 Corvette).

Pianist - Jennifer Kuaea

Jennifer brings a wealth of talent to FUMC as our pianist. She loves the Lord, and when her fingers touch the keys it really shows! She is also a student at the Sul Ross University and is studying to become an elementary school teacher. Jennifer is a loving mom to 2 wonderful children: Keiana and Kai.

Youth Leaders - Conice & Kristen Boenicke

Conice and Kristen are dynamic leaders of our youth program here at FUMC Del Rio. They have 2 great children Megan and Colin. When he isn't leading a Bible Study or playing crazy games with young people, Conice is a Physcian's Assistant. Both Conice and Krsiten enjoy running and mini triathelons.

Wesley Nurse - Dotty Vogt

Dotty Vogt is an RN, and has been the Wesley Nurse at First United Methodist Church since July, 2005. Prior to this she was a Public Health Nurse with the Department of State Health Services for 32 years in Cuero, Hallettsville, and
Del Rio. She is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Nursing in Galveston.

She has been married for 39 years to Harry Lee who is the Port Veterinarian for the USDA. She has three children: Matthew who with his wife Maria and two sons live in Greenville, South Carolina; Jeff who with his wife Hilary and three daughters live in Bulverde, Texas and Amy who with her husband Ben live in Asheville, North Carolina.

In her spare time, Dotty enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling, reading, and spending time on the lake.

Administrative Secretary - Susan Lewis

Susan has worked in various capacities on the staff of FUMC since 1985, including serving as clerical secretary, financial secretary, program coordinator, and Christian Educator. She began her current position in June, 2006. She has enjoyed the challenge of learning a variety of jobs and considers it a privilege to serve in the church.

Susan likes spending time with her family. She enjoys music and is a member of the FUMC Chancel Choir. Other interests include photography, playing guitar, reading, and crocheting.

Susan has been married to Andy for 37 years. They stay busy with activities at church and visiting family and enjoy just spending time at home.

Custodian - Humberto Najera

Humberto is the person who keeps everything running here at First UMC. He is always ready to help set up or clean up so that Ministry can happen and Jesus Love can be made real. He also makes that love real through his smile and loving spirit. He is a native of Guatemala, and has blessed us with his ministry at FUMC Del Rio for 4 1/2 years.

Day School Director - Ronda Kohut

Ronda has been the Day School Director since May of 2005. Prior to her becoming the Director, she was the 4 year old Teacher for 2 1/2 years. Ronda received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is also involved in the childrens' ministries at FUMC.

Ronda and her husband Darren have two children, one in middle school and one in elementary school. They have lived in Del Rio since 2001.

When she is not at the Day School she is volunteering at her kid’s school. Ronda enjoys reading, water skiing, camping, coaching and teaching her children in various activities.
