Wesley Nurse Healthcare Ministry Wesley Nurse Healthcare Ministries at First UMC Del Rio offers resources for living through its specialized nurse. Our Wesley Nurse, Dotty Vogt, R. N., is a part of our community and our church family. She provides a variety of health and wellness programs within our local church and community and facilitates and coordinates services that impact the lives of the members of this congregation and community.Services offered by the Wesley Nurse to the congregation and community include health screenings and education, faciltation of access to food/clothing/shelter/financial assistance/medications, and programs to improve knowledge regarding health of body, mind, and spirit.
 She is a vital resource who helps to make and facilitate connections with local public and non-profit services and facilities so that the specific type of assistance needed in our area may be provided. For more information about our Wesley Nurse program, call Dotty at 775-1541.
 Program Highlight: Angel Food Ministries
 The Angel Food Ministries is in it's first month here at FUMC Del Rio! For all the information you ever needed to know go to www.angelfoodministries.com. Our order cutoff date is always the Thursday before the date listed on the site, but all of the other information is good. Volunteers are always needed for the distribution days as well as on order taking days (Monday 8-11 am. and 1 & 2 Wednesdays 1:30 -6:30 pm.)  Relay for Life More than 20 years ago, one man took it upon himself to raise money
to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society.
Today, more than three million Americans
participate in Relay events nationwide.

 "Walk Away The Pounds"
Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone is offered at the First United Methodist Church on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Educational building.
This is a total body walking program that gives individuals fat burning, muscle conditioning, and stretching –all in one workout. The group is utilizing a three mile DVD and a 4 mile DVD, however, the advantage of these workouts is that you are able to pace yourself so you can participate regardless of your level of fitness. All you need is a good pair of shoes to participate in this program. Come join us.   Eat, Pray, Learn Bible Study
Join Dotty, our Wesley Nurse at Noon and bring
a brown bag lunch to the House of Friendship.
Together we will have fellowship, short bible study
and some "Heart Truths."
